Alaina M. Plowdrey is a Michigan native living and working in Key West. Her work focuses on the unconscious psychological stimulus of different genres, including bodies of work specializing in the military, origin of the universe and summer themes. 

Plowdrey is the director of the Saint Leo University Key West Education Center and also teaches studio art, critical theory and art history as a professor.
